My name is Klemens Kühn and I work as exhibition designer and illustrator. Through various small commissions undertaken alongside my museum work, a wide range of themes have emerged in my illustrations —though storytelling, whether in small vignettes or grand narratives, is undoubtedly my favorite. Consequently, I engage in intensive preparatory discussions with my museum clients—particularly when dealing with historical subjects. In such cases, creating the drawings sometimes involves a process akin to preparing a film set: What did the costumes look like in New York in 1910? What did the interiors and small props of that era look like? This approach has also led to the creation of several short comics, produced as personal projects.
