Biomedical Engineering Production Technician (Co-op) at Cosm Medical
August 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022
Developed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings to support medical device prototyping and manufacturing workflows. Operated and maintained SLA 3D printers, including calibration, troubleshooting, and material management. Fabricated device components through additive manufacturing, silicone injection molding, and post-processing (sanding, finishing, polishing, assembly). Implemented Design of Experiments (DOE) and Six Sigma data analysis, reducing production failure rates from 80% to 20%.
