This Climate Ed volunteer project entailed the creation of a 90-second animation explainer video targeted towards educating children on the topic of climate change. The animation visuals fit a vector-based appearance and use simplified design paired with a voice-over and backing track to present a digestible introduction of the topic that educators can use as a gateway into the overall lesson.

This was a solo project from pre-production to post-production, with all assets being designed and made within Adobe Illustrator. This project was prominently animated with After Effects, with the character being rigged and animated in Moho Animation Software.

Skyframe Awards, powered by Sysco Productions, was a 1st edition collaborative competition which invited five different creatives to design and create an animated piece of work to be displayed on a ceiling screen located at Fen Court, London. Driven by the theming around the phrase ‘Digital Detox’, I design a marine seascape utilising natural and organic materials to emphasise the tactile quality and make the piece feel natural and untouched by the digital world.

The making of the project involves digitising natural materials by photographing the elements and keying them out. Once keyed out, I used Photoshop to collage the separated elements into the resemblance of marine creatures. I then used Moho 14 to rig up the designs and manipulated the transformation with the use of warp layers and smart bones to give the designs a sense of life. This was repeated through a range of designs to give the scene a sense of variety and encourage the viewer to explore the environment
