I am a recent Business Management graduate at the University of Sheffield. I have travelled extensively, having lived abroad for 13 years and so I am able to adapt to new situations with ease and have excellent communication skills with a wide range of people. I work well independently as well as within a team and have a strong work ethic. I excel at languages and as a fluent French speaker I won second place in a French fiction writing competition. I use my initiative well and thrive under pressure, always completing tasks quickly and accurately. I am excited to be pursuing a career within international marketing. In my first year of university, I studied Japanese as well as Business which challenged me and provided me with an insight into such a different culture. I changed to purely Business Management, however, as I felt particularly excited by marketing, public relations and comms I have decided to focus on these as my career objectives. I really enjoyed the module ‘Digital marketing’ as I had to construct a viable digital marketing strategy for a small company, allowing me to apply the content of the business course to a real-life situation. I also surprised myself in ‘Principles of Operations Management’ where I succeeded in making a virtual supply chain simulation on Excel.
