My recent film, Prelude, explores concepts of psychological stuckness through a hypnotic, waltz-like loop and shifting points of view. The motion language is entirely character-driven and tailored to each figure’s distinct personality, favoring a natural, human cadence over uniform smoothness. To give the figures maximum depth and volume, I utilize heavy, fluid shading to emphasize their physical presence, moving away from standard, uniform gradients.
