January 1, 2025 - January 1, 2025Commissioned by the sculptor Esther Stone to perform alongside her metal sculpture, I interpreted the concept of 'Grief' literally and attributed it to the sculpture in order to make it come to life. I played with, explored, and held the heaviness of Stone’s structure for 7 minutes and allowed its vibrations to flow through my body and mind.

Painted completely white from head to toe, I walked a total of 20 miles alone and barefoot and engaged in conversation with passers-by.

Creating a meditative environment through playing recorded sounds on a loop, I invited audiences one by one to either sit at the table with me, or watch me from a distance. Unmoving throughout, I shared moments of intimacy and silence with visitors who controlled their interaction with the artist, their space, and time.

The divided beings fall in love with one another, and we watch them explore the intimacy and hurt of their relationship within a dreamlike environment. The space where poetry, philosophy, and the feminine co-exist and are, quite literally, in conversation.

It conceptually delved into theories of the collective memory and subconscious to conduct practice-research into how shared, generational trauma resides in the corporeal and expresses itself using the body as medium.
