Evonne Tan

Hi, I’m Evonne Tan, a Penang-based illustrator. I specialize in mixed-media illustration for books, branding, and entertainment art, and I love weaving narrative ideas into bold, tactile imagery. My training includes a Diploma in Illustration in Entertainment Art from Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts and a BA (Hons) in Graphic & Illustration from The One Academy Penang, with exposure to both local and international art scenes.

My work has been shown in exhibitions ranging from the Penang State Art Gallery Annual Show (2025) to international group shows, and I’ve received awards such as Best New Comer at the Malaysia International Watercolour Biennale (2018) and UNESCO-related nominations. I enjoy teaching, collaborating with publishers and galleries, and helping brands tell their stories through expressive visuals.
