I'm James Evans, a media production graduate with a First Class Honours in Media Production from Birmingham City University. My training was hands-on and practically focused, covering cinematography, scriptwriting, directing, and post-production editing. I've produced a wide range of content, including short films, documentaries, promotional videos, and podcasts, using industry-standard gear and software, and I enjoy collaborating on real-world projects to tell compelling stories. In addition to my degree, I’ve built hands-on experience freelance and in industry placements. Highlights include collaborating on Where has the buzz gone? as Cinematographer and Editor (RTS Midlands Student Awards entry), a final-year documentary on Midlands waterways pollution, a Warwick Business School work placement producing instructional videos, and freelance campaigns for Sage Café, LiteHaus UK, Earlsdon Christmas Market, and Mainline. I’m also currently a Social Media Coordinator & Store Assistant at Angling Direct, where I manage product content and engagement while continuing to develop my videography and storytelling skills.
