My name is Mathilda Hagenius, and I am a fashion student at Istituto Marangoni with a deep passion for fashion and a constant drive to grow within the industry. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, I initially studied Economics and worked in the restaurant industry, but my heart has always belonged to fashion. This passion led me to pursue a Fashion Product degree at Istituto Marangoni, which is one of the best decisions I have ever made. My studies have helped me develop both creatively and personally, giving me a deeper understanding and respect for the industry. To me, fashion is more than just garments, it’s psychology, art and my passion and I constantly think about fashion, not because I have to because of school, but because I genuinely want to. I am often described as a problem-solver and that additionally applies here. I always seek solutions where I see room for improvements as well as challenge my self to push my creativity and knowledge even further. For instance, recently I had the opportunity to design a dress under high time pressure for Tale Torjussen, for the Norwegian Fall ELLE Gala 2025, an experience that strengthened my confidence and belief in my abilities. That same drive inspires me to apply for a volunteer position at Copenhagen Fashion Week. I am eager to contribute to a smooth, efficient event by supporting teams with full dedication and energy. In addition, my background in the restaurant industry has trained me to stay organized, work effectively under pressure and maintain strong communication and teamwork skills, traits I see as essential in a fast-paced fashion environment. Volunteering at Copenhagen Fashion Week would be an amazing opportunity for me since I would to gain first-hand insight into the industry and apply what I am learning in school.
