Led an MSc thesis project assessing privacy risks in enterprise RAG systems, focusing on whether sensitive data could leak from retrieved documents or from generator memory. Built a reproducible Python evaluation framework on top of an open-source RAG pipeline and configured retrieval over public datasets. Ran 4,890 prompt-based evaluations across retrieval settings and mitigation strategies, including scenarios where sensitive data was removed from retrieved context. Designed metrics for leaked sensitive item count, attack success rate, and newly leaked items versus a baseline, enabling systematic comparison of leakage behavior across RAG and plain LLM configurations. Identified conditions where context sanitization and system instructions changed leakage patterns and translated findings into practical recommendations for safer enterprise GenAI evaluation.
