Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Remote Social Media Manager – Entry Role. As a Business and Marketing student at the University of Waikato, with hands-on marketing experience gained through my internship at Gallagher Group, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your team while continuing to develop my skills in digital marketing and paid social media.

During my six-month Marketing Internship at Gallagher Group, I supported a range of day-to-day marketing activities, including updating website content and landing pages through content management systems, analysing website performance using Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, conducting customer research, and assisting with customer journey mapping. These experiences strengthened my analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of how digital marketing supports business objectives. I also developed strong communication skills by presenting insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

In addition to my marketing experience, my current role as a Deli Assistant at New World Hillcrest has strengthened my organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Being recognised as Employee of the Month reflects my reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

I am particularly interested in this role because it combines social media management with the opportunity to work directly with clients and continue learning. While I am still building my experience with Meta Ads, I have a solid understanding of digital marketing principles, social media content, analytics, and content management systems through both my studies and practical experience. I am a quick learner and am eager to further develop my skills in paid advertising, campaign management, and content strategy.

As I complete my Business degree, I am looking for an opportunity that allows me to apply what I am learning while gaining valuable industry experience. I am confident I can successfully manage this role alongside my university studies and see it as the perfect opportunity to develop my digital marketing skills before graduating. The flexibility of this remote position would allow me to contribute effectively while building the practical experience needed for a successful career in marketing.
