My Friend Oliver" is a children’s interior and lifestyle collection focusing
on imaginative play and interactivity. The Irish harp is a core theme; the harp
has soothing qualities that send animals to sleep whenever it’s played. I
wanted to replicate these feelings of comfort and serenity. Oliver is the
perfect muse - based on my rescue lurcher- the calmness that radiates from
him inspired me to use him and his best friend Ozzy as a screen print for
duvets to help children feel comforted in the same way real dogs can provide
comfort when they sleep on your bed. The wallpapers are designed with
empty spaces left for the customer to paint in. I hope this encourages artistic
expression and helps the child feel inspired and connected with their
environment. I printed samples for a bathrobe with my characters
embroidered on top for children’s entertainment and to add some fun to bath
time. I utilised digital print for an armchair upholstery, pyjamas and an
immersive bed canopy.
