    Sealand: The Smallest Country in the World

    Documentary that I pitched, developed, produced, directed and edited. Published by LADbible.

    We visited the Principality of Sealand, the ‘smallest country in the world’. Sealand is a former WW2 defence fort off the coast of the UK. It was occupied in the 1960s by Roy Paddy Bates, who declared it as a sovereign state. Its epic history includes battles with the British Royal Navy, fending off armed invasions by international mercenaries and tirelessly fighting for its independence to the present day.

    The current Crown Prince of Sealand took us on a guided tour of the fort and revealed its colourful history, and explained how they stay strong into the 21st century.
