I am Rahuldev, a filmmaker and writer based in Mumbai. Last year, I wrote and directed the Hindi-language feature film Aisa Kya Hota Hai, which was selected at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. I was also selected for a screenwriting lab where I was mentored by Astha Tiku (Sherni) and Ajitpal Singh (Storm). Over the past year, I have developed two feature films: a period gangster drama set in 2003 Mumbai and a social folk, thriller horror film set against the coal-mining landscape of Jharkhand. Both projects have been submitted to development grants and labs across India and Europe. As a writer, I enjoy working across genres and have consciously built a diverse body of work, ranging from grounded drama to crime and horror. I believe this versatility allows me to adapt my writing to different formats, audiences, and storytelling styles.
