Maggie Scudder (she/they) is a comedy writer, director, performer, and producer. They co-created and star in Rat Czar, an award-winning comedy about New York City's new Rat Czar, and wrote the award-winning pilot The GOAT, inspired by the city's legendary folk heroes. Maggie collects obscure obsessions and internet rabbit holes to turn them into TV. They have spent more than 13 years writing, performing, and teaching sketch comedy and currently serve as the Creative Director at GOLD Comedy. They also write the popular Substack Bronze Age of Television, where they round up the best TV you've never heard of and publish occasional deep dives into niche topics like crime procedural cold opens.
