Debbie Golt is an award-winning vinyl selector and broadcaster, bringing decades of sonic wisdom to every set. She began DJing publicly with Rock Against Racism in Manchester in 1976/77, and still plays many of the records she collected back then. She is at home with vinyl and digital set ups as the occasion requires. Across international festivals and iconic London venues such as the 100 Club and Scala, Debbie champions beautiful conscious music that moves dancefloors and nurtures minds. She curates perfect Lounge and Electronica sets for networking events AND for dancefloor events she offers full-on African/Diaspora, reggae, jazz, some Latin and soul, and global beats—often weaving thoughtful narratives that celebrate womxn’s creativity and message music. As co-founder of Vinyl Sisters, she supports all-women vinyl reggae DJs through her Upstairs at the Ritzy, Brixton residency, backed by a background in the music business, artist management, touring, and music journalism.
