I’m Cherie Davies, a passionate dressmaker and digital textiles designer based in Port Talbot, South Wales. I’ve run my small fashion brand for 7 years, and dressmaking and design are absolutely my forte—though I’m also very confident with all sorts of sewing and machine work. Fashion is how I express myself day to day, and I love mood-led dressing (dopamine dressing) as a way to connect clothing with wellbeing and confidence. Sustainability and garment worker rights are at the heart of my work. I’m an advocate for ethical production, and I actively explore upcycling, thrift flipping, and second-hand finds to reduce waste. Alongside my design and sewing, I also teach—offering 1:1/1:2:1 and group sewing workshops (including SEN support and mixed-ability learners), and I’m currently studying sustainable fashion and design at Afan College (aiming for continued distinction).
