Design Assistant — Menswear Design at Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh

June 1, 2024 - November 1, 2024

Contributed to four menswear collections from initial research through product delivery. Produced 5–10 detailed technical sketches per brief, created and maintained technical drawings and spec sheets, and led design/visual development of an accessible-price underwear line. Experimented with denim textile manipulations and developed accessories concepts. Supported fit sessions to preserve design integrity through final samples, and built moodboards and color palettes while managing and archiving reference pieces.

Design Assistant at A Better Mistake

Created digital garment prototypes using CLO 3D and Rhino to streamline sampling. Assisted with pattern making, print development, and fabric sourcing. Collaborated across manufacturing, finishing, and fitting stages to define the final product.

Explored traditional Ethiopian weaving and textile techniques and integrated them into contemporary fashion design. Developed a capsule collection centered on ethical production and circular-fashion principles. Organized workshops on upcycling and sustainable garment construction for local designers.
