Lead the Product Development & Innovation unit responsible for design, tooling/mold-making, and production launch across refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, and dishwashers. Manage complete product programs from concept through series production, including parallel platform development and competitive benchmarking. Oversee budgets across projects (total budget managed to date: $13M), platform sourcing and production line setup for dishwashers (metal/rubber molds, welding, plastic injection tooling), and value engineering to replace imported parts with local assemblies (reported $1.5M annual savings). Coordinate daily with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and after-sales teams, manage BOM updates and engineering changes, and build team capability through technical training (e.g., polyurethane foam, refrigerator design, 3D printing, mold design, 3D scanning).
