Sangeeth Samarasinghe

I am a creative filmmaker, film director, screenwriter, graphic designer, video editor, and content creator from Kalutara, Sri Lanka. Since 2019, I have worked across television films, short films, cinema operations, promotional design, and digital media, developing projects from scriptwriting and directing through production and post-production. I enjoy leading teams, solving creative challenges, and bringing original stories to life through both film and visual design.

My short film HUNT, for which I served as director, scriptwriter, and producer, has been officially selected for the Chennai International Short Film Festival 2026 and HorrorHound TV 2027. I am passionate about creating internationally competitive Sri Lankan cinema and continue to develop my skills in directing, screenwriting, graphic design, video editing, and content creation. I am also the author of the Sinhala novel REVENGE and enjoy contributing to the growth of local film and storytelling.
