I’m Bassem Yasser Taha, an AI Engineer and B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence graduate from Cairo University. I build computer vision and machine learning solutions in Python and PyTorch, including facial identification pipelines for live camera feeds and local identity search using vector-based retrieval.
I also enjoy taking AI prototypes from idea to deployment, packaging them with FastAPI and Docker, and designing reliable workflows for consistent outputs. In addition to vision work, I’ve developed an optimization-focused school-bus routing engine using OR-Tools, and I’ve created multi-agent agentic workflows with CrewAI to structure results in a production-friendly way.

Work experience
Built a facial identification module using DeepFace and connected it to live camera feeds, along with a local identity search mechanism to verify identities. Developed a Python school-bus routing engine using Google OR-Tools, modeling student categories and fleet-capacity constraints. Stress-tested the routing solver to identify latency thresholds that made certain configurations unsuitable for production. Designed a CrewAI multi-agent workflow and refined prompt chains to produce consistent persona style and structured outputs.
