During the past 2 years, I have had the privilege of volunteering on a health and wellbeing station on DAB radio. I present my own weekly show a job that I am truly passionate about. My role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including hand-picking songs, meticulously planning playlists, producing, and presenting the show live on air and ensuring a seamless flow of music conversation for our listeners. Furthermore, I have taken charge of inviting special guests to our shows, allowing me to showcase a diverse array of talent and interviewing skills to create captivating content. Conducting comprehensive interviews with these guests has been a highlight of my job, as it enables me to delve into thought-provoking discussions and share valuable insights with our audience. The opportunity to combine my love for music, meticulous planning, and engaging interviews in one role has made my experience in radio incredibly fulfilling. I was honoured to be nominated and go onto win an award of Best Newcomer Radio Presenter nationwide at the National Hospital Broadcast awards 2024.
