I am a Belgian pianist and composer blending classical training and jazz improvisation. From early rock bands to jazz conservatories, my path has led me to solo piano performance, international tours, and film composition. I studied under renowned figures such as Michel Herr, Charles Loos, and Steve Houben, and I was mentored for nearly a decade by my uncle, pianist André Dumortier. I earned a First Prize in jazz piano from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 1990. I have performed across Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland), collaborated with musicians like Sadi, Philip Catherine, and Joe Lovano, and shared the stage with Branford Marsalis. I have recorded with Igloo Records, created critically acclaimed duo and trio projects, and tuned pianos for world-class artists. Today I focus on solo piano, original compositions, and music for film. Always in search of expressive freedom, I blend sensitivity, technique, and a deep sense of atmosphere in every note I play.
