I am an architect who has found a passion for illustration and writing. With experience in creating various visuals for children's books and projects, I strive to tell stories through my art and engage young minds with captivating imagery and narratives. My journey started in the field of architecture, where I learned to blend structure with creativity. This journey evolved into a love for illustrating books that inspire and educate children about their culture and heritage.

paper El Apu (The montain spirit/Grandfather/Guardian)

An elderly man receives news that leads him to embark on an unexpected journey. On his travels, he encounters the spirit of the mountain, who is not very friendly. A compassionate act leads them to transcend together.

This story is inspired by the Andes; its landscapes, its solitude, and its ancestral beliefs. It is the most recent project I launched in collaboration with Hilo Colectivo.
Apu is a word of Quechua origin that means mountain, chief, or protective spirit of nature. They were also considered Huacas, sacred spaces for ceremonies and rituals. It was believed that permission had to be sought to climb the mountain so as not to suffer accidents, as well as to harvest, enter the forest, or hunt.
