AnDrue Humphrey is a versatile composer with experience across various genres, including orchestral, hybrid, electronic, and more. Whether working on a video game, film, or TV theme, he aims to create music that complements the project through evocative melodies, rich textures, and memorable moments. In addition to composing, AnDrue is a skilled pianist, guitarist, and singer, and he enjoys writing and performing his own songs. He’s known for crafting music that is both captivating and fitting for each project.
His past work includes the award-winning Battle Bears mobile video game series, where he created an intense, genre-blending soundtrack that mixed electronic, rock, orchestral, dubstep, and hip-hop elements. This soundtrack won “Best Soundtrack” in the Android Division of the Best App Ever Awards. He also works on live productions, providing underscores, musical segues, and anything else the production might call for. AnDrue has scored music for local indie filmmakers and composed the theme for the national TV show Higher Aim with Dr. Curt Dodd.
Humphrey’s journey in composition began as a youth with short piano pieces. He later earned his music degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, in music technology, while also studying composition, voice, and orchestration. After graduation, he began teaching music technology classes as an adjunct professor, and worked as a live sound engineer and technical producer. AnDrue is a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists and has a sponsorship with Roland.
