Tom is an Emmy nominated, freelance editor and filmmaker based in Dillon, Colorado.
His feature documentary editorial debut FULL CIRCLE won the 2023 Banff Grand Prize and is now playing on Netflix, and short films he’s directed have played both festivals and been broadcast on Rocky Mountain PBS.
Primarily a documentary editor, Tom has long form experience and also loves working in short form, especially on branded doc projects & commercials. He has experience in actions sports, especially skiing, and loves bringing his doc style in collaborating with outdoor brands. Regardless of the project or scope, Tom loves collaborating with clients to deliver the most emotional, impactful edit. If you need production support, Tom also shoots and has extensive experience as a 2nd AC and PA on a variety of shoots, ranging from TV to narrative and commercial projects.

In 2014, Trevor Kennison's life was forever altered by a broken back - for worse and for better, in equal measures. Full Circle is both an unblinking examination of the challenges of life after spinal cord injury... and a celebration of the opportunity for growth that such a tragedy can present. Featuring Trevor Kennison and Barry Corbet. A Level 1 Production, in association with Abramorama and XYZ Films. Directed by Josh Berman, and made possible with support from Eddie Bauer, Volkl Skis, SPY+, Fat Tire, CMH Heli Skiing, GoPro, Jackson Hole, Ikon Pass, High Fives Foundation, the KHR Family Fund, and Darn Tough VT. Tom was the lead editor on the project and assisted with sound recording and filming interviews & ski shoots.

Back in the 1980’s, the A-Basin Enduro was created for the love of Pallavicini. Old Pali-Heads would rack up as many laps as possible on some of the best terrain around. Now, while the Enduro still honors this lift, it has evolved to play an important role in our community. Each year, all proceeds from the Enduro and the Après Party go to benefit someone who is a part of our A-Basin community and has fallen on hard times. The Enduro is a heartfelt event. It’s a reminder of what’s important. It’s a time for friends old and new to gather at the Center of the Universe and celebrate life. On the 36th Annual Enduro we were reminded of those who skied Pali before us. We remembered those who are no longer with us, we celebrated them along with those still surrounding us, and we pass the love of skiing this terrain to yet another generation. At 7 AM sharp, the explosive was set off and 35 teams of two raced towards their skis. These teams lapped our double-black Pali terrain for 10 hours, until 5 PM. At 5:30 PM, we ate a home cooked meal by our chefs at The Basin, drank at the 6th Alley, and auctioned off items to benefit one of our own. We had a great time. The penultimate stop of the Level 1 Rail Jam Tour had hometown energy, fitting for our backyard of Eldora Mtn Resort. Flamingos were tossed, bodies got chucked, and cash got handed out. At the end of the day, Marion Balsamo and Tucker Fitzsimons took home the hardware.
