I can't remember a time when I wasn't making someone happy, telling a story through music. My distinctive and compelling approach to film scoring infuses cinematic storytelling with vibrant new colors and dimensions. After earning degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and Northwestern University, I began a career in music education, yet I never wavered in my passion for composing. As a skilled trumpet player, I crafted works for my instrument, as well as for concert band, choir, and symphony orchestra. My film-scoring journey launched when my son, Monte, started producing short films. This collaboration quickly evolved, from short films to feature films, scaling up my compositions.
