Hi, I’m Nick Komarnitsky, an art student at MassArt entering my senior year this fall. I’m excited to apply for the Youth & Community Arts Assistant role with the Yawkey Club of Roxbury Boys & Girls Club. I bring experience in art, animation, and hands-on youth mentoring, and I love helping kids explore creativity through collaborative projects. Over the past four years I’ve worked as a camp counselor and spent a year teaching animation. I’ll be a teaching assistant for Animation 3 at MassArt this upcoming semester. I led a summer stop-motion course where students created their own films, and I’ve worked with kids from 1st to 8th grade. I’m eager to bring my teaching and creative experience to Yawkey Club Roxbury and continue learning while helping others discover their creative voices.
