Architected and developed the complete backend solution — API and AWS serverless infrastructure - for the '1 Operator, 1 Building, 1 Day' initiative reducing building integration time and operation costs. Designed and implemented a stateful Request Management Model to orchestrate complex, asynchronous building integration workflows within the AWS serverless environment. Addressed critical performance bottlenecks by implementing a Rust library (integrated via FFI) offloading CPU-intensive tasks from Python and achieving real-time BMS interactions. Engineered a protocol-agnostic integration framework allowing the platform to connect with various BMS systems, ensuring future scalability and reducing vendor dependency. Implemented robust security controls for backend APIs and resources by integrating Azure APIM for policy enforcement and Okta SSO for centralized authentication/authorization.

Engaged in hardware certification activities and collaborated with hardware engineers to achieve successful certification for the integrated systems (CE (EU), FCC (USA), ISED (Canada), UKCA). Collaborated closely with the Product and Edge teams to drive the design, implementation, and testing of Building Management Systems (BMS) tool software. Played a key role in the architecture and design of the data flow within the BMS tooling, ensuring seamless integration and efficient functionality.

Contributed mainly to the development of a cross-architecture and multi-framework platform maintaining several iterations of firmware applications in C/C++. Designed the firmware architecture for a universal IoT controller MCUs (ARM Cortex M3, M33 and M4). Implemented a secure Over The Air (OTA) firmware update via Open Thread for controllers. Designed, developed and is actively improving the Gateway Application using Python for data transmission to and from the controller and the cloud via MQTT protocol. Contributed to the development of an API handling requests and reports between end-point user and the IoT controller using Protocol Buffers (Nanopb). Established a mix of Test Driven Development (TDD) and continuous Integration (CI) within all applications. Participated in the development and deployment of several firmware features like Building Management and Control Systems (BMCS), Data communications protocol (Modbus), Power management, logging, etc.
