I’m at the end of my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Bolzano with expertise in Neural Architecture Search for Image and Video Understanding. My work applies to network compression and efficiency, video action recognition, anomaly detection, and language models with retrieval-augmented generation applications. I have experience as a research fellow, internships at Sony and Enel, and involvement in developing evaluation libraries and document processing tools inspired by recent multimodal LLM advancements.
I enjoy combining my research background with practical projects, collaborating across different industries, and continuously exploring advances in AI and machine learning. I’m eager to contribute my expertise in neural architecture search and multimodal AI to solve real-world challenges.

Internship at Enel S.p.A.
September 30, 2025 - July 21, 2025Collaborated in the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence division on Language and Vision Machine Learning. Worked on a proof of concept for a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system to assist users by providing suggestions based on a knowledge base of Jira issues related to faults in energy plants. Responsibilities included data cleaning, metadata selection, multilingual content handling, developing an internal evaluation library for RAG systems, and initiating a document processing library for handling mixed content documents inspired by Multimodal LLM advances.

November 30, 2022 - July 21, 2025Implemented, optimized, and tested an unsupervised anomaly detection system tailored for 2D representations of real traffic data to detect malicious events. The project outcome included a publication at the 9th Swiss Conference on Data Science (SDS).
Internship at Sony Europe B.V., Stuttgart, Germany
September 30, 2021 - July 21, 2025Analyzed the transferability of predictors under distribution shifts in Neural Architecture Search (NAS). Proposed a new search space and created a NAS benchmark using architectures trained on four image datasets. Improved transferability of Graph Convolutional Network predictors by integrating dataset shapes as inputs and using early stopping techniques. Results published in multiple conferences and workshops.
