I’m an MA graduate of the University of Chicago, having studied both cultural and linguistic anthropology. This provided me with the skillset to quickly proofread and produce academic writing across a wide range of disciplines within the social sciences. My familiarity with qualitative research methods means I can assist you with qualitative data coding and thematic analysis, along with interview transcription. I have proofread the academic article of a former professor prior to its submission to academic journals, and do not use AI at any stage of the proofreading process.
I also have extensive experience with citation styles used within the social sciences and humanities, including Chicago Style/Turabian, the American Psychological Association (APA), Harvard, and the Modern Language Association (MLA). Consistent, clear communication and providing thorough, constructive feedback are my top priorities when working with people on their projects.
Beyond this, I am certified through the CITI Program in Social and Behavioral Sciences IRB Human Subjects Protection, Group 2. HSP, Social / Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel, and IPS for Researchers. My research proposal was successfully approved by the IRB during my graduate program, and I have experience in assisting others with preparing qualitative research proposals for IRB submission. I would be glad to provide you with advice within that space as well.
While I can provide assistance with projects across the social sciences, I’m especially interested in research focused on global power dynamics and the transmission of culture through language, and my thesis project focused on issues around refugees and human rights. If you’re working on a related project, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, or just to chat!
