I am a professional ethnomusicologist with a Ph.D. from Istanbul Technical University, where my award-winning doctoral thesis explored the relationship between humans and the environment through sound and the kemençe instrument in Turkey. I've taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels, served as a department head, and supervised several master’s theses, blending academic research with sound-based artistic practice. Alongside my academic work published in international journals, I compose soundscape pieces exhibited worldwide, including the UK. Currently, as a visiting researcher in Albania, I am expanding my study of cultural soundscapes.
