Hello! I’m Julia Johansson, a Virginia Tech film and theatre artist blending performance, production, and creative tech. I thrive on collaborating across film, theatre, and multimedia projects, from acting and directing to cinematography and editing. I’m passionate about telling diverse stories, and I’m excited to contribute to innovative teams with my hands-on experience in both indie productions and research-focused work.
Currently studying at Virginia Tech (B.A. in Theatre Arts with a Cinema and Theatre Performance major and B.F.A. in Creative Technologies), I balance creative practice with scholarly inquiry, exploring representation, accessibility, and culture through film history and design. I’m eager to continue growing as a creator and mentor.
