My name is Andrew S. Pustea, I am a 29-year-old cinematographer, writer, editor, actor and director based in Edinburgh. I personally define films as a form of painting in motion and a vision of the creative potential of the human imagination. During my childhood, this was a very big impact for myself to combine art and science and demonstrate my ambition to challenge the dominant ideology often shown in media encoded depictions of varied semiotics. In that special period of my life, I felt the desire to caption the surrounding environment in order to understand the meaning behind. These questions have led me to express my curiosity in a comprehensive range of creative art forms such as film production, painting, performing arts and music but also express my enthusiasm for the scientific streak to subvert the perception, especially altering the graphical interface of hue of colours through 'DaVinciResolve’ and 'Adobe Creative Suite'. I feel is both creative and mathematical in its process, which delights me immensely. As a result, in 2015, I have been working as a video editor for BBC Academy in Birmingham and The Production Guild of Great Britain in London. During that time, I joined as an assistant video editor for Inspirate ImageNova Video Production, a company based in Leicester, working on 400 years of Britain in India, a short online documentary series. I have worked alongside the artist Ashokkumar Mistry, developing my experience in Media production. Working in a team, it was an opportunity to understand the functions of collaboration, professional level knowledge and practical skills. I have worked alongside the artist Ashokkumar Mistry, developing my experience in Media production. Working in a team, was an opportunity to understand the functions of collaboration, professional-level knowledge and practical skills. Since 2019, I become a member of the National Film Academy, as a video editor, I am working on various film projects. We submitted some projects to some film festivals. Some of the films were selected for competitions. Currently, I am enrolled alongside my friend in film course in Edinburgh to expand our imagination working with DLSRs. I love to research and write an analysis. I have been impressed with Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick. These renowned and influential film directors have introduced me to the world of horror. Their particular visions were the catalyst for my pure love of cinema and provided me the potential to project my imagination and dreams and encompass otherwise impossible realities. My personal scope is to absorb as much knowledge as I can, to open as many career opportunities as conceivable within cinema. Please find enclosed my CV. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I look forward your replay. Yours sincerely
