Originating of Avignon (south of France) and graduating in illustration & graphic design from the Private Institute of Higher Education in Applied Arts (IPESAA - Montpellier, France), Vanessa’s professional journey includes a variety of experiences in the book industry and the cultural sector (as bookseller, bookstore manager specializing in children’s literature and graphics novels, cultural mediator and communication assistant). For the past two years, she has been working as an illustrator. During this time, she has participated in several creators markets, sold her creations in south of France’s shops, opened few exhibitions, led creative workshops (painting and linocut), taken on graphic commissions, and settled into an artist’s studio that she lived to begin an UX/UI designer formation. Passionate about different printing techniques and inspired by her travels, the variety of landscapes, and her observation of nature, she expresses herself primarily through linocut and oil pastels. This has resulted in various collections on different mediums (paper, totebags, t-shirts, etc.).
