    Respite Care Center

This project is about a respite care center in Pakistan, designed for children with special needs (aged 5–11) and their parents. It addresses the lack of dedicated respite facilities locally and explores how interior environments can provide emotional relief, rest, and recovery.

The design is based on human-centered and biophilic principles, incorporating natural light, greenery, sensory textures, and calm spatial transitions to create a soothing and supportive atmosphere.

The project includes both therapy-oriented spaces for children and retreat-focused areas for parents, aiming to reduce stress and support emotional wellbeing. Children’s zones include sensory and creative therapy areas as well as mindfulness and counseling spaces tailored for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and ODD.

For parents, the design provides quiet, restorative environments that allow them to relax while staying close to their children.

Overall, the project focuses on creating a balanced healing environment, where architecture and interiors work together to support both emotional comfort and psychological care.
