YOKU [Yuichiro Oku] is an award winning composer based in Los Angeles. Born in Japan, Yuichiro’s musical journey started at the age of six, when he first began playing the electronic organ and the piano, and got exposed to various musical genres. He furthermore studied the trumpet and the tuba and performed a large selection of classical pieces and film scores as a member of a symphony orchestra. In 2000, he moved to Los Angeles where he started writing electronic music. He studied audio recording and mixing, and began creating music for commercials and motion picture campaigns, then film and video games. Yuichiro always enjoys pushing the boundaries by exploring new approaches and shaping his unique voice.
