Being of Ukrainian descent, but growing up in the Netherlands gave me the most optimal starting point in life in terms of understanding different cultures and people; there’s a familiarity that I find wherever I go and whoever I speak with. Aren’t we all the same at the end of the day? Yet so special at the same time. Besides being able to speak English, Dutch and Russian on a native level, I have a good level of understanding in French and German. I’m 28 years old right now, soon to be 29, I’ve had the chance to cover already 7 years of a professional career in development. I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, including energy and industrial operations, healthcare, recruitment and HR tech, marketing and content platforms, consumer digital products, and retail analytics. I adapt easily to different working contexts—whether that means integrating into a structured Scrum team or taking full ownership of deploying and maintaining production systems independently. I enjoy collaboration, but I’m equally comfortable carrying responsibility on my own when needed. Alongside my technical background, I hold a BA in Buddhism from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. That academic path shaped how I approach work and life: with reflection, curiosity, and a calm focus under pressure. It also gave me the freedom to travel while building a sustainable career in software—something I’ve successfully continued ever since.
