My name is Aden Gerkensmeyer and I have been looking for a good career for a while now. I have been working a stocking job as a Food and Beverage specialist at Target for nearly four years now and I have used that time to garner many skills in my passions that I hope would interest some hirers. These passions include writing, non-digital and digital art, graphic design, stop motion animation, model and puppet making, as well as my pursuits in the subject of Paleontology. I am familiar with many programs in Adobe Creative Cloud and currently have a certification in Illustrator. I also have experience in publishing my work and am currently having a book in the process of being published with a goal of having it out in the market by late September of 2026 (In terms of Scriptwriting I am also familiar with programs like Celtx). In terms of animation, I have tons of expirence working with and building stop-motion puppets. Throughout my life, I was placed in many animation schools where I learned much of the adobe programs I still use. One of my close teachers by the name of Tawd Dorenfeld, introduced almost everything I know about stop motion today. He had a lot of ties with the film industry and had worked directly with folks who worked on films like The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach. As a result, I have spent time building puppets and sets that often take me months to finish. As a simple side hustle, I have a huge interest in paleontology and have volunteered digs in Montana where I preped and excavated large Diplodocus and Apatosaur fossils for a natural history museum in Tennessee.
