Project overview
This project was part of my Final Project for the UX Design Institute - UI Professional Diploma (bootcamp).
I took on the role of a UI designer, responsible for creating a responsive user interface for a fictional challenger banking app aimed at transforming the user experience.
The problem
The goal was to create a fresh, responsive banking interface that seamlessly adapts to various screen devices for a fictional client.
The Fictional Client is a challenger brand, emerging as a dynamic competitor to traditional banking institutions. They aim for a user-friendly interface that not only meets user needs but also sets them apart in a saturated market.
Traditional banking apps often suffer from cluttered interfaces, a lack of personalisation, and inadequate mobile responsiveness.
For this new challenger client, providing a user experience that is clear, playful, and trustworthy is essential for differentiation and fostering customer loyalty and providing an intuitive experience that simplifies essential financial tasks while incorporating personality and visual appeal.
The solution
I designed a responsive banking interface that balances usability, clarity, and subtle playfulness. The solution includes:
Accounts Overview: A clean dashboard for quick access to all accounts
Current Account: A streamlined view of transactions and frequent payees
My Spending: Visualised goals and spending insights for better money management
Built mobile-first, the design adapts across devices while reflecting the brand’s values of clearness, playfulness, and trustworthiness.

Project Brief: As a UX Designer, my role involved leading a comprehensive UX research process to create a high-fidelity prototype for a fictional hotel mobile app.
I was responsible for conducting user interviews, synthesising findings, and translating user needs into design solutions, ensuring an intuitive and engaging experience for potential users.
The problem
Users booking accommodation prioritise minimising time spent learning to use an app.
With the pressure of choosing the perfect holiday, hotel booking apps must be simple, straightforward, and designed to streamline the process. All relevant information should be accessible.
Unfortunately, some apps create obstacles that frustrate users during navigation.
The solution
I designed a luxury hotel app that gives users freedom and control over their travel choices.
This user-friendly app caters to UK travellers, featuring six premium destinations, each one showcasing top high-end hotels.
The goal is to address challenges identified during research, using the triangulation technique to implement effective solutions.
Ultimately, the app provides a remarkable experience, ensuring users complete bookings feeling confident and satisfied.
