“Beh Gaya” is an expression of underlying sadness behind lost love. Set in a melancholic backdrop, the song speaks of separation, sadness and the beautiful moments that were cherished in togetherness. Being a classical pianist, I wanted to create the production on the lines of Adele’s “Someone Like You”, yet make it grand towards the end with cinematic strings.

I was privileged to be the lead music producer on this project.

“Tera Ho Raha Hoon” is a beautiful melody that describes the blissful journey of falling in love. I worked on this project as the lead music producer. I also played and recorded the melodica, which forms the main theme of the song.

“Ghar Sa” is a folksy acoustic indie track in Hindi, written and sung by Rahul Shah. “Ghar Sa” literally translates to “home-like”, or “homely”, and speaks about how one goes about dealing with life’s uncertainties, and yet finds solace and warmth around people who are close, home-like. Rolling Stone India magazine mentioned, “From beautifully plucked guitar parts to immersive bass notes, “Ghar Sa” is quite the ear-worm”.

I worked in the capacity of a music producer, and also as a recording engineer (for guitars & vocals). It has been fulfilling producing this track, and I enjoyed designing the bass parts especially, which really bring out the groove. Subtle strings, keys and pads give out the warmth that you can feel.
