I'm Akanksha Biswas, a freelance product designer with 5+ years of experience in both the agency & product environments. By consistently placing UX at the forefront, I have evolved into a growth designer, thus driving business outcomes. I believe that design is a powerful communicator holding the power to shape human experiences. Thus, human-centricity is what drives me in the first place. I'm currently partnering with an early-age WealthTech startup by overlooking the end-to-end product design, conducting market research, and creating user flows as a freelancer. This hands-on work has reinforced my belief that good design evolves rapidly, and what works today may not work tomorrow. This keeps me agile, willing to iterate, and unafraid to pivot to meet business goals. Earlier this year, I stepped out of my comfort zone to co-found an event-based tech company in Brussels. As a design co-founder, I helped build the initial brand language while working closely with my co-founders to shape product journeys. This experience sharpened my leadership skills and taught me how to bring a strong design voice to the table. Previously, at Fashion Cloud (B2B solution seamlessly connecting retailers and brands), my work highlights involved: 1. Introducing scalable design patterns: I introduced a scalable design pattern for brands’ b2b shop experience projects, which sister product teams, later adopted to ensure consistency. When tested internally and externally, it improved the user journey, especially in terms of navigation, by 50% and catering to the diverse needs of our retailer user base. 2. Stakeholder collaboration: Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, data engineers, and customer success managers through workshops & design reviews to incorporate feedback and iteratively ship human-centric solutions. 3. Leading UX research Conducted pre-build usability tests (A/B tests) regularly to ensure the design was in the right direction. As part of the test, the retailers completed the required tasks successfully, with an average task success rate of 80%. I’ve always enjoyed partnering with founders and multidisciplinary teams, particularly in FinTech and e-commerce, but I’m open to exploring new industries and challenges. I’d love to discuss how I can help contribute to your vision and bring meaningful design solutions to life. Thank you for taking the time to read and I look forward to having a conversation!
