Currently I am a Technical Producer for BBC Audio, working on BBC Radio's most listened to and demanding output. I have worked on Radio 2’s Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, R3’s In Tune, The Live Lounge, Glastonbury, The Proms, Reading Festival, Piano Room, Maida Vale sessions and Radio Theatre productions to name a few, as well as editing, mixing and scheduling output from home. In this role, it is vital to understand the different requirements of various networks and be able to apply these. Whether it’s mix ideology, understanding the artists’ needs and performance, microphone choice, or even target levels, flexibility in workflow and genres is a necessity. Furthermore, I have spent time recording, mixing non-linear output such as podcasts and documentaries for the BBC. Live sound is where I cut my teeth, and it has taken me through a journey of tours, productions, mixing desks of various quality and complexity, and has taught me to troubleshoot any problem effectively, to find creative solutions, to work with people effectively, and overall be confident to turn my hand to anything.
