    paper Skanking Devil (Personal Animation Project)

    This is a personal project I did in order to practice the rubber hose animation style of the 30s. I thought to mix it with a reggae vibe, as the way ska and reggae are danced matches perfectly with the rubber hose bouncing characters style.

    To create the animation, I used Rough Animator iPad app. After finishing the moves and feeling of the animations, I did the cleanup process in the same app, but some animation parts were re-made using After Effects an the Rubberhose script, as the cleaning process would have been very long if I did it all drawing frame by frame.

    I combined and composed the two animation styles in AE, but I believe that a total frame by frame animation would have looked better. I did also learn how to and how no to mix those techniques, as I had to solve some problems during the process. Still, I feel very happy with how the video looks :)

    paper Eat Krit & Repeat (TV Commercial)

    This project was a requirement of the food company Adam Foods to the agency I work with. The goal was to create a highly visual video to promote their snack brand Krit.

    I worked with the advertising agency and an illustrator for this commercial. My tasks where both the direction of the piece, including the script, the storyboard and the animatic, as well as the coordination of the team, and the animation of the video. I used Procreate and After Effects to animate the characters and backgrounds.

    Both client and team we were highly proud of the result.

    paper Cursos EFPA de Educación Financiera (Online Commercial)

    The client, EFPA, which is a financial institution that offers financial and economic education, wanted to create some videos to attract pupils to its new courses. Short video ads that told the most common financial problems people face in everyday life and say to them that with the information that they will obtain in those classes they will be able to affront it.

    A series of 8 videos were made, with the same script structure, to communicate the different subjects each course was addressing. To appeal to professional men and women 4 different characters were designed, in a very minimal style so everybody could relate to them. The visual style was very clean also, so it could fit the budget of the client.

    The video was designed in Illustrator and animated in After Effects. A voice-over was included to make the videos warmer and connect with the audience.

    The client was very happy with the result and the campaign was a success.

    paper Filipinos (YouTube Bumper Commercials)

    The advertising agency asked me to create some animated videos for a promotional campaign of Filipinos cookies. The format would be the 6 seconds YouTube Bumper ads that appear before the reproduction of a YouTube video. These short ads were made for Finnish and Moroccan markets.

    My duties were conceptualizing, design and animate those videos, in consonance with the style of the promotional cookie that the consumer had to found in the package in order to win. In each season the winner cookie had a different style. This campaign lasted along 3 seasons.

    The goal was to give some funny feel to the videos while focusing the attention to the winner cookie. And to communicate the prize.

    paper Gala Premis Crea (Convocation Video)

    Barcelona Serveis Municipals is a public company which organizes a ceremony every year to motivate their employees to have new and creative ideas. In this event, the best ideas of the workers are recognized by awards. And the mascot of the event it’s called Creatik.

    The client wanted to give life to Creatik so he could present the ceremony alongside the two other human presenters. The challenge was to animate Creatik in a way that looked 3D, but it was not. The body was rigged and animated in After Effects and the limbs were drawn and animated frame by frame.

    The client was glad with the result, which looked alive and very natural.

    paper RDR Cannabis (Social Media Animations)

    Those animations were made as part of a campaign to make cannabis users (specially the young ones) aware of the possible risks of the consumption of cannabis and how they can prevent them.

    The organ in charge of the public health through the advertising agency asked for some animations, in order to deliver the message in a joyful and positive way.

    They were animated hand by hand and composed with After Effects.

    The client was very happy with it.

    paper La Setmana del Llibre en Català (TV & Online Advertising)

    My client, a semi-public entity called Editors.cat, wanted a video ad for both TV and social media, to communicate the book fair event that would be placed in the Moll de la Fusta harbor during a week, in Barcelona.

    I had to use the graphic image of the event and animate it, and edited it with nice music. I gave a rhythmic style to the video, so the plain image of the campaign would feel alive and appealing.

    We were happy with the result.

    paper La Otra Jeta - Volver a Enloquecer (Music Video)

    Music video I did with other colleagues for a Spanish artists called La Otra Jeta. We did in a raw style as the music itself it is too. Was my first frame by frame project, and both the team and the artist were happy with the result.

    My duties were the script and storyboard and the direction of the video.

    The video won two awards and was selected in some music videos and animation festivals.

    paper Efecte Uni (Online Communication)

    The goal of the video was to communicate about the Efecte Uni program. A public program of addictions prevention in universities, labor environment and other places.

    The requirement was to create a video that was rhythmic, visually calling and that communicates the main points of the program in a short period of time to attract attention. The graphic image was already made, and I had to adapt it to the video format.

    The video was designed in Adobe Illustrator and animated in After Effects. Some visual effects of glitches were added to make it more appealing and in connection with the music.

    The client and I were satisfied about the result.

    paper SEAT - Join Us (Online Video Recruitment)

    SEAT, the most known brand of Spanish cars (now part of VW group), wanted a video to include in its human resources website and channels, to communicate the advantages and benefits of working in its Headquarters in Barcelona.

    I worked with the advertising agency to conceptualize, design and animate a video that communicates all this in a graphic and cool way. A motion graphics video very rhythmic and appealing.

    The client was happy with the result.
