Hi, I’m Alex Boyd, a 30-year-old visual artist based in Merida and Mexico City. I specialize in hyperrealistic digital and traditional artwork, branding, corporate identity, illustration, calligraphy, lettering, animation, and teaching. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at and teaching over 60 workshops, masterclasses, and conferences across well-known academies and events like Pixelatl, Conque Comic Con, UNAM, and TEC de Monterrey, among others.
I have exhibited my work in various galleries and museums since 2013, including Museo Franz Mayer, Polyforum Siqueiros, and Holy Art London. Alongside my artistic practice, I teach animation, anatomy, and technical drawing at both college and master’s levels at Universidad del Valle de Mexico and Maestria CUMP. I am also honored to be a representative artist for brands like Wacom, Pilot Pen, and Winsor & Newton. Recently, I’ve worked as a freelance Clean & Color artist for animated series and as a senior artist/designer at Photologo, developing thousands of logo projects internationally.
