I love creating fun and colourful illustrations that bring whimsical ideas and stories to life. My art is a reflection of my fascination with storytelling. A lifelong love of folklore, fairy tales and literature means that my art often has a strong narrative focus. I am obsessed with creating texture in my illustrations meaning my favourite mediums to work with are watercolour, ink and pencil. When I venture into digital illustration and animation, I try my hardest to bring as much texture into my work as possible. For me it’s all about enjoying the process and showing human craftmanship in the finished piece, whether that’s in random deviations due to unpredictable medias, or purposefully adding texture and variation to give an illustration more interest. I am skilled in a large range of traditional mediums including pencils, inks, watercolours, paints and more.
