Led a project to upgrade a Spring Boot application from Java 11 to Java 21. Worked on maintaining various applications involving customer and policy management, and integrated a major NZ bank's insurance claim system with IAG's policy system. Engaged in Scrum Agile practices including user story elaboration, coding with Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs, defect fixing, and using Jenkins for CI/CD.
Maintained and enhanced the Guidewire policy and billing systems as part of a Scrum Agile team. Responsibilities included helping Business Analysts elaborate user stories, coding using Guidewire, fixing defects, analyzing production issues, building and deploying the system via Azure Pipelines, and developing REST API methods.
Developed changes to Guidewire Claims Center for consuming insurance JSON data from RESTful web services to create and update claims. Developed automated tests with Selenium and Cucumber to verify claim creation and updates.
