Hello! My name is Amber! I have a BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, NYC alongside a complementary exchange program in Musashino Art University, Tokyo with a concentration on Japanese packaging. Post-COVID, I pivoted from graphic design to illustration because I realised I can make a better difference in the world illustrating stories. My work is influenced by my childhood consumption of diverse Asian media from creative hubs like Hong Kong and Japan, etc. I like to illustrate tender moments without dismissing the crude but real aspects of human life. My graphic design background also embedded in me an annoying sensitivity for typography! If you have a project in need of illustration, please reach out! Accolades include 2 GDUSA awards and being a recipient of the TOGE Productions Southeast Asian Developer fund. When I'm not creating art, you can probably find me consuming movies, traveling, or reading (especially since I quit doomscrolling).
