Director, Screenwriter, Producer: Andrew Johnson is a 22-year-old independent filmmaker whose work explores the richness of the human experience through narrative storytelling. A recent graduate of Michigan State University- Major in Digital Storytelling and Film Production, with Minors in Fictional Filmmaking, Screenwriting and Business. Andrew has written, directed, and edited many original short films, most recently as Director of the award-nominated senior capstone film, "Orientation" (2025). Andrew's current work features the making of a 12 part docuseries capturing the unique and impactful lives of blue collar American workers, showcasing the backstories and dreams behind "The Good Hands", proving there is more than meets the eye with any blue collar worker. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Andrew began making films since he was 7 years old, evolving his style through years of hands-on creative work. His artistic perspective is grounded in curiosity and a deep appreciation for human complexity-what he calls "the ultimate exploration." Whether directing, producing, or contributing in any crew capacity, he's passionate about learning from others and committed to telling meaningful, emotionally resonant stories.
