Motivated by a desire to work on something impactful, I founded a company focused on helping businesses optimize their energy consumption. I independently entered a new domain, quickly acquired practical knowledge, and combined it with my technical background to design and implement complex hardware systems. - Founded and ran a bootstrapped company focused on reducing electricity waste through real-time monitoring hardware and cloud- based analytics. - Navigated a completely new domain—energy optimization—by self-learning electrical fundamentals and becoming a certified ENCO consultant. - Oversaw end-to-end operations: sourcing hardware, managing installations with electrical engineers, and ensuring data accuracy in field deployments. - Collaborated with commercial clients to analyze energy usage, identify savings opportunities, and present insights through custom dashboards.

After serving as a Technical Lead, I moved into a full-time people management role, overseeing two engineering teams. My focus shifted to growing engineers, enabling teams to deliver consistently, and aligning technical execution with company goals. - Managed two cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, QA), focusing on team performance, career development, and delivery velocity. - Partnered with product, design, and senior leadership to align roadmaps, define scopes, and drive efficient sprint planning and backlog prioritization. - Improved engineering processes around estimation, release cycles, and cross-team collaboration. - Supported hiring and onboarding efforts, reported on team health and metrics, and acted as a bridge between technical teams and broader business stakeholders.

After years as a senior/principal engineer, I transitioned into the Technical Lead role, where I took on responsibility for the technical direction and delivery across multiple teams. I helped scale the engineering organization ensuring cross-team alignment and supporting engineers through mentorship. I also served as main contact for customer facing teams as well as product and leadership teams when technical advice was needed. - Acted as a bridge between engineering, product, and design, translating business needs into scalable solutions and helping define technical scopes across teams. - Facilitated cross-team architectural decisions, unblocked engineering efforts, and improved delivery through epic breakdowns, contract definitions, and critical code reviews. - Continued hands-on contributions in complex domains like bookings, eCommerce workflows, and large-scale data migrations, while supporting incident response efforts. - Led engineering process improvements including the migration to GitHub Actions, CI/CD unification, legacy modules refactoring, and enhanced team collaboration via regular syncs and retros.
